Cardamom or "Elaichi as we call it, has numerous culinary uses. Masala chai, sweet and savoury dishes as well as in baking. in Middle-eastern countries, Cardamom is also used to spice their coffees.
Individual seeds are sometimes chewed and used in much the same way as chewing gum.
